How To Build a Small City With LEGO Like Toys: How to Build A City From Scratch

Small cities are a great way to introduce children to a variety of different things. Lego is a classic toy that is enjoyed by kids of all ages, and its small size makes it perfect for more compact spaces. It’s also a great toy to use to teach children about construction and architecture. This article will show you how to build a small city with LEGO like toys.

Collect and sort small LEGO building bricks

Before you start building a city with LEGO, you first need to collect all the bricks that you’ll need. If you have already then it’s great, otherwise you should have from the GIGI Bloks. Different pieces come in different colors, so it’s better to have them sorted first. Pick out all the various colors and sizes that you’ll need to complete the project, and then put them into one place. If you have young children, you can also use a color-coding system so that they’re not afraid to get into the box of colored bricks.

Set up the pieces

After you’ve collected your bricks, it’s time to set them up in a way that you can build with them. This will require you to get everything arranged in a place where you can easily access it all. There are many ways to set up a LEGO collection, and the method that you choose is entirely up to you. You can use bins, cardboards, and drawers, or you can simply use a large table. The method that you choose will entirely depend on your space and the way that you prefer to organize your things. The main thing is to make sure that everything is easily accessible, so that you have no issues when you start building the city.

Create and build the city

After you’ve set up your LEGO collection, it’s time to start building the city. This is actually a very simple process, and it’s very similar to building a LEGO tower. You’ll start off by adding a baseplate to the table. The baseplate is essentially the foundation of your city, and you’ll have to add 4×4, 2×2, and 1×1 LEGO bricks to it. Once you’ve added all of these bricks, you can start building the second, third, and fourth floors of the city. You’ll build the city in a very particular manner. The second floor will be a little bit lower than the first floor, so that it balances out the entire structure. You’ll also have to make sure that you add a brick on top of the first floor bricks to make sure that the entire city doesn’t start to sag. You’ll keep adding bricks to the second floor until it’s 2/3rds full. Once you’ve added all of those bricks, you can start adding bricks to the third floor. You’ll repeat the process once again, and then add just one more, final brick to the top to create the model’s rooftop. Once you’ve finished building the rooftop, you can use the remaining bricks that you have to create additional structures and buildings in the city. You can even use these last pieces to create a small city hall for your model.

Conclusion

The LEGO building bricks are a classic toy that has been enjoyed by children for decades, and it’s no surprise that they’re also a great toy to use to teach children about construction and architecture. What’s even better is that they’re a toy that is enjoyed by both boys and girls, and this means that you can introduce children to the toy at an early age and then continue to use it when they’re older so that they have a great time with it.
